My Approach

Relational

At the heart of my work is the creation of safety—relational, embodied, and felt. I hold space with attunement, warmth, and gentle curiosity, meeting you wherever you are. Healing often unfolds in relationship, and what emerges between us can guide our work together. This is not about fixing you, but about cultivating connection, trust, and presence so that your psyche and body feel seen, steady, and supported.
Liberatory & Systems-Aware

You are more than the sum of your experiences. Our lives are shaped by cultural, systemic, and ancestral patterns, and by the histories that have brought us here. I weave awareness of these influences into our work—exploring inherited patterns, social pressures, and cultural wounds—with the intention of freeing you from what no longer serves your vitality. Healing is deeply personal, but it also calls for acknowledgment of the collective and systemic forces that shape us.
Tending the Unconscious

Much of what drives our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors lives beneath awareness. I work with Internal Family Systems (parts work), somatic practices, and Jungian/transpersonal exploration to bring gentle attention to these unseen layers. We meet the parts of you that have been hidden, frozen, or silenced—often as adaptive responses to trauma or overwhelm—and listen for what they need to heal. Through imaginal work, body awareness, and symbolic exploration, we gently untangle old narratives, bringing understanding and relief down to the level of cells and lived experience. This is experiential work that can shift patterns that words alone cannot reach.
Vitality & Joy-Focused
Healing is never only about tending wounds—it is also about reconnecting with what brings you aliveness. We explore the sparks of joy, meaning, desire, and purpose that may have been buried beneath layers of conditioning, neglect, or internalized shame. Following your vitality, we uncover ways to lean into life more fully, honoring curiosity, delight, and your unique passions. As we tend both shadow and light, what was hidden can gradually come into harmony with your natural vitality, allowing your life to feel richer, more embodied, and more soulful.
About Me
Hello, I’m Sarah Wilson-Montemayor. I hold this work with profound honor and reverence, and I will walk alongside you with care, curiosity, and deep respect for the unique wisdom within you.
For context on the journey that shapes my perspective, my ancestral roots trace back to Northern Europe and the Philippine Islands, giving me a lived sense of cultural complexity and a flexible capacity to see, feel, and bring love to diverse perspectives.

I trained in psychotherapy at Pacifica Graduate Institute, where I received a deep foundation for working with the unconscious, and before that earned a doctorate in Molecular Neurobiology from UC Berkeley, grounding my practice in both intellect and inquiry. Beyond formal education, my path has been shaped by years of mentorship in earth-based spiritual practices, sacred feminine traditions, and systems for remembering our belonging within the web of nature—along with inspiration from ancestral lineages of sacred queerness.

These threads—scientific, mystical, somatic, and relational—inform my approach and guide me in creating a space for others to reconnect with their vitality, meaning, and inner truth.
